After dinner, Malloy and his wife kicked off the dancing to Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me To the Moon," before the band struck launched into more up-tempo disco tunes such as "Boogie Oogie Oogie."Many supporters said it was an incredible moment to welcome a Democratic governor into office. Lola Elliot Hugh, senior aide to the president of the Health Care Foundation, said Malloy's inauguration signals a rrx0904069 sense of hope."I was so thrilled to have a Democratic governor," Elliot Hugh said. "It's time. I was so pleased to see him use health care in his platform and I hope to see him move health care forward. The bottom line is it's about feeling hopeful for once."Fox, who administered the oath of office to Malloy Wednesday as well as each time he was sworn in as mayor of Stamford, said he was "delighted" to see his friend rise to the top.
Fox has known Malloy since his days at Westhill High School. Later, they were partners at the law firm Abate & Fox before Malloy became mayor. Fox said Malloy always had a knack for politics, from serving as class president through his 14 years as mayor to today."When you talk about Dan Malloy, you hear the word natural," Fox said. "He is a natural in terms of his instincts and he is very rrx0904070 at government. He knows how to get rrx0904071 to work, and that's a very difficult thing to do."Yet, even in the midst of the celebration, Fox noted there are challenges ahead."I'm just delighted to watch the festivities for the start of what's going to be a very difficult four years," Fox said. "He's got a lot of hard work to do and it's going to be tough sledding for a while. But like I said, he doesn't give up."
Jan. 04--A Lawndale man was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing a woman's rrx0904072 and savings bonds.Joel Ingle, 51, of the 100 block of OP Drive, was charged with two counts of possession of stolen goods/property.The incidents allegedly happened July 23, 2010. Arrest warrants state Ingle took $425 in property from a Shelby woman including United States savings bonds, bracelets, a pendant and earrings.Ingle also took property from Ads Logistic Services, a trucking company, including a fluke meter, an amprobe meter and a sonin laser valued at $1,150, arrest documents state. The company is located in Gaffney, S.C.Ingle was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center under a $75,000 secured bond.
